FAQs

oapl Premium Knee Stabiliser

What knee braces does BraceAble stock?

BraceAble stocks 57 knee braces and supports from leading brands including Bioskin, Ottobock, Push Bracing, Thuasne, and oapl. The range covers hinged knee braces, patella stabilisers, post-operative knee braces, knee immobilisers, patella tendon straps, elastic supports, and sports wraps,
with sizes from XX Small to XXXXX Large, including paediatric options.

What conditions are knee braces used for?

Knee braces are used for arthritis, post-surgical recovery, sports-related knee instability, and patella (kneecap) support. BraceAble's range covers all these needs, from lightweight compression sleeves for everyday pain management through to rigid hinged braces for significant ligament instability. A physiotherapist or orthotist can advise which support level
suits your diagnosis.

What's the difference between a knee sleeve and a hinged knee brace?

A knee sleeve provides compression and warmth for mild pain and swelling, making it suitable for everyday use and low-impact activity. A hinged knee brace adds medial and lateral stability through rigid or semi-rigid hinges, making it more appropriate for ligament injuries, post-surgical recovery, or high-impact sport. BraceAble stocks both types across a wide price range.

How do I find the right size knee brace?

Knee brace sizing is typically based on circumference
measurements at the mid-knee, thigh, or calf, and the exact point varies by product. Each BraceAble product page includes a sizing guide. The collection covers sizes from XX Small through to XXXXX Large, as well as universal-fit and
paediatric options, so there is a suitable fit for most patients.

Does BraceAble stock knee braces for children?

Yes.
BraceAble carries paediatric knee immobilisers, including the oapl Paediatric Knee or Elbow Immobiliser and a fun-coloured Paediatric Arm Knee Immobiliser. These are designed for post-injury or post-surgical immobilisation in younger patients and are sized specifically for children.

How much do knee braces cost in Australia?

Knee braces at BraceAble range from $19.14 for an elastic sleeve support up to $852.50 for specialist orthotic braces. Entry-level supports typically cost $20–$50, mid-range hinged and patella braces sit between $60–$200, and premium clinical-grade braces such as the Bioskin Patella Stabiliser ($224.40) and CROSS™ Hyperextension Knee Brace ($317.00) are priced higher. Free shipping applies on orders over $75

Does BraceAble offer free shipping across Australia?

Yes. BraceAble ships Australia-wide with free delivery on
orders over $75. Orders under $75 attract a flat shipping rate of $8.95, regardless of location. Note that freight charges are non-refundable.

What is BraceAble's return policy for knee braces?

BraceAble accepts returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, in its original condition, and in original packaging. A Return Authorisation (RA) is required, so contact support@braceable.com.au within 14
days to obtain one. Importantly, any knee brace that has been worn cannot be returned without prior approval, and a 15% restocking fee may apply. Freight costs are non-refundable, and after 30 days returns are accepted at the seller's discretion only.

Are BraceAble's knee braces suitable for sport?

Several products are specifically designed for sport,
including the oapl Knee Sports Wrap, patella tendon straps, and hinged knee braces with reinforced lateral support. For contact or high-impact sport, a hinged brace or dedicated sports stabiliser offers more protection than a basic compression sleeve. BraceAble's range includes options across all activity levels.
