Vacoped Short

Why this brace? The OPED VACOped Short is the shorter and lighter version of the VACOped. It is a cast-stable function orthosis for the immobilisation of the foot and ankle.

Key features:

• Vacuum cushion forms perfectly to individual patient's anatomy and can be adjusted to accommodate swelling and atrophy.
• Option of range of motion (ROM) from -15° to +20°. Shortens recovery time by 3.5 weeks*.
• Lightweight and shorter design makes it easier to wear and walk with, compared to traditional full-length boots. 
• Soft, breathable cotton terrycloth liners are removable and washable.
• Radiolucent materials allow X-rays without removing the boot.
• Rocker sole and pull-out toe section promote a natural walking gait while offering forefoot protection and stability. 
• Can be used as a cast, walker, or orthosis.
• Easily removable for wound inspection and physiotherapy.
• A cushion filled with thousands of styrofoam pearls surrounds the injured body part.
• When air is extracted from the cushion by using a pump, it becomes hard (like a cast), in just a few seconds.

Care Instructions:

• Liner is removable and machine washable.
• Air dry only, do not tumble dry.
